Do you have some spare time and are interested in helping others in the community? Want a role that is fulfilling and rewarding?
Our volunteers are of all ages and from all walks of life and play a very important part of our team. For many people, the best thing about volunteering for Citizens Advice is getting to meet a wide range of people and make new friends.
Volunteers help as receptionists, advisors, administrators, project work, researchers, “friends” (fundraising), and trustees. Our volunteers say that they feel happier, more confident, and involved in the wider wellbeing of our community.
1. Make a difference to people’s lives
2. Help your local community
3. Develop new talents and skills
4. Challenge yourself
5. Meet new people
Free training and support is provided to all, in the office face to face and online, at an agreed pace that suits you. Normally this is in groups so that you have the opportunity to get to know one another and make new friends. To keep up with any changes you will continue to be supported throughout your time here and receive ongoing training.
Volunteers come from a variety of different backgrounds with a wide range of skills and qualities. Roles include receptionists, advisors, administrators, project work, researchers, and “friends” (fundraising). Members of the Trustee Board are also volunteers. Please complete the form if you want to become a member of our friendly team.
Citizens Advice Basingstoke and Tadley are both independent local charities who rely on the support of individuals, businesses, local government and others. We are dependent on volunteers and funding from local institutions, firms and individuals. If you feel you can help then please contact us, we rely on donations to help us carry out our work.
