The charity for your community
Call: 03444 111306
Our advisers are mainly volunteers, who come from all walks of life. Do you have some spare time in the week and are interested in helping others in the community?
You will undergo extensive training that is free of charge and is provided in the office face to face or via online training. You will have reached a high level of competence with our help before dealing with clients. Moving on you will continue to be supported throughout your Citizens Advice career and given regular update training.
We are lucky to be able to attract volunteers of high calibre and the value they bring to the Citizens Advice, and thus to the people living or working in and around the area, is enormous. We could not exist without them.
For many people, the best thing about volunteering for Citizens Advice is getting to meet a wide range of people and make new friends. By volunteering for your local Citizens Advice, you will be playing an active part in improving the lives of local people as well as influencing the development of local and national Social Policies and services.
Not all of our volunteers are advisers, we also need IT and administrative support staff and social policy researchers. Members of the Trustee Board are also volunteers. Please contact us via any of the links shown below or call us if you want to become a member of our friendly team.
We are now recruiting for Volunteers Gateway Assessors, Advisers and Home Workers to train March/April 2016.
